From 2011-08-22 Incident on Sandy River, Troutdale, Oregon |
Beauty and trauma all at once. A spectacular evening accompanied by some sort of incident on the river. Around eight PM this evening, on my way up to Broughton Bluff to take pictures of the sunset, I came across an incident occurring on the Sandy River across from Glenn Otto Community Park in Troutdale. I am not sure what was happening for sure, a drowning incident, a car accident, or what, but the Historic Columbia River Highway was closed, there were a large number of response vehicles, and several first responders were walking up and down both sides of the river.
